What one day of interest means here
This page estimates a single day’s net interest on a MariBank (formerly Seabank) balance. It uses a 365-day year and subtracts 20% final withholding tax on bank interest in the Philippines. The formula
Gross interest for one day is balance × (annual rate ÷ 100) ÷ 365. Net interest is that amount after tax: gross × 0.80, because 20% is withheld. The rate field is the annual percent you want to test. You can type any rate. When the balance changes, the field is filled with an example from a simple range: 3.25% up to ₱999,999, and 3.75% above ₱1,000,000. Those percentages are examples in this calculator, not a quote from the bank.

Worked example
A ₱100,000 balance at 3.25% a year earns gross interest of ₱100,000 × 0.0325 ÷ 365, which is about ₱8.90. After 20% withholding tax, the net credit is about ₱7.12 for that one day. The balance used for this estimate stays ₱100,000. The ₱7.12 is not added before a second day is calculated on this page.
