Next add production costs that are not on the ingredient list. A box, a label, a share of gas or electricity, and a realistic labor amount often change the picture more than bakers expect. Total production cost = ingredient cost + additional expenses.


If the recipe creates 20 cookies and there are no extra expenses, cost per product = ₱95 ÷ 20 = ₱4.75 before waste. A 5% waste allowance multiplies production cost by 1.05, then you divide by 20. How Profit Margins Affect Pricing


Profit margin is the share of selling price that remains after cost. Suggested selling price = cost per product ÷ (1 − margin). A higher margin raises price and profit per item, but it can also reduce how many customers buy.
